;D ;D on the banjo bolts.. I do have two in my box, need to check if they are coolant bridge or oil cooler though (they have two different part numbers, but could be the same bolt in reality?).

I don't tend to snap stuff off all that often .. he says, famous last words and all that! :y

BTW I spotted that cooler on eBay but discounted it as the picture made it look like it was a plated copper item, and I thought all the new ones were stainless?

Cheers Mark.

No slightly different as I found out to my cost ;)

Did you shop around :-\

Not beyond calling my local Vx dealer, no.. well, and then looking on eBay per Mark's link :) Everything but the washers is available there (washers are available in the US but with $20 shipping it doesn't seem worth it ;D). Having said that, if they're just copper washers...

No slightly different as I found out to my cost ;)

D'oh! :) Well I've ordered one as a spare, just in case. Sods law now dictates I will snap both off... ;D

Have you got 19mm crows foot? Well worth investing in one for the oil cooler bolts at the filter end.  :y

Yup - well, no, but I did just order one .. same difference assuming it doesn't get lost in the post ;D

Yes, the trick I find is to start by jacking the car up and

Jack? Good lord no, I'll just walk under it in the pit :) Sounds good though - doable in a day, although add on all the other jobs and it'll be a couple of days I should think, all told.

Still, could be worse, I could be having to do head gaskets!

You have access to a pit?  We need to get to know each other  :D ;D

I don't have access... it's in my garage! ;D Actually take that two ways as right now the Omega is blocking it.. ;D

You're more than welcome to come over if you want to do any work btw. It makes oil changes, especially a doddle.. well, unless you're my friend Mark who managed to empty most of the contents of his track-toy RX8s sump directly into the pit rather than the bucket ;D (Which pays me back for the time I emptied most of the contents of a gearbox into the bottom of his pit, I suppose!)

Very kind, might have to schedule something, as I think I would be killed if I got oil on our nice brick driveway  ::)  ;D

;D ;D I keep telling Chris, it's fine for me, I skim right under the door! ;D

(Silly cheap affordable concrete prefab garage with 6' eaves means the door is pretty low as garage doors go..)

Can't be any worse than my parents, garage built in 1989, those doors have seen better days.

It was such a lovely day I opened the sun roof for the first time in about 6months.

...then spent the rest of the dat servicing, cleaning and greasing it so the damn thing would shut again. Trips out when it hits the spoiler thing/wasname/oogemyflip then re opens.

Cleaned all the green off the rubber surround then silicon spray on there. White greased the runners, and guides. No different. Clean and grease the ramp on the the spoiler thingy. All fine.

Start the car, power sounder goes off. Check the battery, 12.1 volts. Check the green glass thing, its black. Charger on...
Meantime, check fluids and pressures on both cars. Al fine bar a couple of psi and some screen wash.
Check battery 12.7 volts.

Will check again tomorrow. But I think its suffered over the winter somehow. Although I've been off shift for a week so the car has sat for a while.

But how did that little lot take ALL afternoon...? I seem to have acquired a natural talent for dicking about.
