Wow

Seriously impressed by the neatness of the welds. Presumably it has been TIG welded.

Is that your handiwork CEM?

Thanks for 4x4's help  :y

Best remember the tow bar is on the back or there's going to be a lot of holes in bumpers  ;D ;D

Wonder if reversing sensors would work on back of tin tent  ::)

3.2 Air con gassed after changing the valve, set super cold  8)

Oil change on the 3.2, seriously over due! Is it me or are engines much smoother and quieter after a change? Placebo effect maybe.
If you can feel the difference, you'd left it too long ;)

Very much over due. Not jet black, but not far off.

Sorted out my manifold used something called quick steel. The guy in the shop recommended it. At £6.99 it's a cheap fix for now and found I had 3 bolts loose on manifold as well one just wouldn't get tight for some reason might get a new stud and bolt to fit. Also removed power sounder as it was on my jobs list from when I first got the car. It never worked any way and I thought I'd remove it just in case.

Pulled the protective covers off the Omega which had been put over it whilst I am restoring the BMW on the other side of the garage . First time I'd looked at it since last October and I realised how much I'd missed it , sunk into that incredibly comfortable seat and sat there for five minutes enjoying the surroundings again. :) Didn't put it on the road this year due to the unfair level of taxation over here making it too expensive for the 2K miles a year I do in it. Was thinking of selling it ,but I won't . It'll be back on the road again soon.
Found the battery dead which surprised me as it's on a "exerciser " which keeps the battery charged and healthy . decided it must have been a poor connection on the charger so have it on trickle for the next couple of days and then I'll start it.
Started the painting of the lower half of the BMW after finishing the new rear wheel arches. That was the most time consuming and difficult part of the restoration so far , my fingertips were actually bleeding ........ :'(
