Had to use the battlebus
Living the dream eh  :y ;D
I'll let you into a little secret, but don't tell the others  :-X

The constant ragging I'm giving it is clearly, slowly having an effect.  It will now redline in the first 3 gears (its not happy about it admittedly), and its power range has increased higher up the rev range.  There is still something very wrong, but slowly it's becoming a bit more eager.

Will it improve further, or will I bugger it up? ;D

You know when your next ragging it.... think about those lovely delicate swirl flaps that can't fully open as the inlet is clogged with sticky sooty yucky stuff.

Just a thought like, don't dwell on it!  ;D
I dislike the car enough, if it did let go, apart from the minor inconvenience of getting home, I wouldn't be overly concerned  :-X
I have visions of seeing it dumped in a ditch on one of my journeys through your part of the World.  :D
Its frequently abandoned in one of the carparks in town.  The exciting thing for me is trying to remember which one ;D
Well start at Tiffins and perform a spiral route around Brack encompassing all outlets serving alcohol
In 13yrs of living here, I haven't done a pub crawl of all pubs in the town. Its definitely do-able, its less than 10 (including the hotel)

Removed the glovebox in order to fail to see the hedgehog ::) Eventually liberated said mammal, nowt obvious wrong with it.

Connected motor to nearest convenient power, aka glovebox light :-X motor spun up before quickly blowing the courtesy light fuse ::)

So looks like a new hedgehog required as I can't find any in the garden :'(

Found one last night. I'd have saved it for you if I'd thought. ::)

Might have got a bit smelly after a week or two, mind. ;D

Decided this morning that it really, really, REALLY needed new glowplugs, seeing as both last night and this morning, it wasn't in the mood for starting ::)

Changed waterpump on the Bullet at lunchtime. Don't think its cured the issue, but lets see what the morning and a proper run brings  :-\

3m round trip to postoffice, got a coolant warning and steam coming from under bonnet still.

Could be as its bleeding, and old residue burning off. Lets see.

Last pattern water pump I got, the gasket was rubbish and leaked straight away. Had to get a genuine one from the stealers.

Water appeared in the little channel in the top of the sump, just to the right of the crank pulley.

That's where mine was appearing, slightly clouding the fact was it was pulling some oil down with it as well, so was usually "oily" as well.

had a serious miss fire on way home Thursday-so last night  i got leads + coil pack off and fitted new leads and pack that's been on shelf in workshop for a few months-started her up today and all good--yes they're genuine parts---get parts and store them-you never know when you going to need them--as most problems occur at night or late sundays >:(
