Drove to Papworth for first visit after my Catheter Ablation three months ago. A14 was a right royal pita, holdups and roadworks. Arrived late but got seen within a few mins. All that way for a five min chat (80 mls round trip) plus detours today.
Still they are damn good at what they do. :)
Had senior moment there, Ron. We were talking about putting stuff in engines to stop leaks and then you said........never mind. ;D

Thinking about buying another one!  ::) :-X

you need a black Elite estate :y

Funny you should say that Joff.  I have just sealed the deal on one.   ;) :-X

Your old one ;) :y

Indeed!  ;)

When I got my old one (away for 11 months only) back, I found that no maintenance had been done at all. The windows had been tinted and bulbs replaced for non standard, but on the plus side a  Irmscher front bumper had been fitted and a set of budget tyres fitted ( tyres needed replacing when I sold it). Who ever did the MoT should not have passed it as a number of issues had to be addressed. It's now MoT time again but I have a few small jobs to finish first.

I hope yours is still in very good condition, as it was 100% when it went north. :y

I know I have a couple of issues to sort out.  The main one being to do the cambelt, which is now overdues.  It only covered 7k miles in the last 18 months since I sold it, and has been MOT'd and serviced in that time, so I'm not expecting to find too much wrong.

I'll know more when I go and collect it.   :y

My cam belt is due next month, but as I did the last one at the cam belt meet which you were at I'm happy, as I know it's going to be done correctly.

In that case, your Cambelt change is due on 26th February 2015.  This Vauxhall service reminder is free of charge  ;)

Thanks for the reminder but it's on the drive and not going anywhere until its done as the MoT is now out, and I have a few other jobs to do on her too. :y

I wasn't being sarcastic by the way mate. It's just my mate Paul (who also did his belt at the same meet) asked me the other day when it was due for replacement.  Kinda stuck in my mind for some reason  :y

I've got thick skin ;D ;D and I've just used my last two coil packs. Sorry ::) They have been in the garage for over a year, and then both cars needed one each. :'(

Decided that 1 of the HG's needs sorting before starting a new season of towing the tin tent.... bugger...!!!!

Thought that the K-Seal I used would've worked, apparently not I guess....

It's either HG or an invisible water leak....
I'd allow for a new heater matrix too... ::)

It'll be fine :)

K-Seal was initially designed for use in the Rover K series engines, and also designed NOT to clog up the heater matrix ;)

It'll be fine :) I promise....

Yes, although the sub frame is ready to drop once it gets above 4 degrees C....then its pretty easy from then then on in.

Oh, there may be a coolant pipe leaking slightly above the gearbox (will be able to see better soon), have you had to put any coolant in (I noticed some light staining on the bell housing and the coolant level was slightly down)

Never had to give it a drop since getting it. If it needs anything else let me know and I'll get it on order. Cheers

Finally got round to fitting drivers door mirror that I was going to fit last Sunday but didn't get round to.I'm hoping this one lasts longer than the 1 day that its predecessor managed before some gormless twonk managed to wipe it out.Have folded it in to try and protect it as much as possible,so fingers crossed!
