Just fitted my new KYB gas ajust rear shocks (cheaper inc post from Britain can you believe) and put four new Michelin Latitude cross tyres on. Different bus now but still a bus ;D ;D.

Thought the hbv was still leaking, but seems it was just residue and the system had bled down. I usually top the bottle up to the neck when the system has been opened, as it almost always blows half a bottles worth of air up the to top which then makes the level correct.

Don't know why I didn't do the same. But anyway, sfixed! :y

Yes. All the Lakes are nice. Try Hardnott & Wrynose Passes & back on Honnister Pass if you have the time. Good test for the car!  :y
Worth including some of the other (far less dramatic) passes for the scenery, including Kirkstone, Whinlatter, Newlands and the one whose name escapes me if you go over Wrynose and Hardknot, and at the end of the road (past the miniature railway) turn left towards Barrow

Whinlatter has a forestry commission place along it if you wanted to stop for coffee and ice cream and other "tourist rates" goods ::)

2 days of abusing the car (taking out my frustrations of the realisation I work for a pair of inept mongrels) have taken its toll.  I need to fix it now.

I really need to check which one I've booked on the ferry, as this could be a classic TB case of poor timing  :-[

You'd better hope none of your workmates buy an omega, or you'll have a lot of editing to do. ;D

No issues with any workmate/colleague. In fact they are pretty much all really good people. Its a final realisation that my immediate management are wholly inept, and not one ounce of sense between them.

I suspect non of the people I'm talking about would be seen dead in a non German marque, apart from one knobhead who drives a posh Toyota.

am trying out the solar panel top up battery charger( after having charged the battery properly/fully but as the car stands idle for a few days on a regular basis) gizmo from europarts for under £20.Its about as much use as a chocolate fireguard so far so will try it with the battery fully charged, then disconnect it and connect the crocodile clips that come with the gizmo, bit of a fiddle but if this works it`ll do :)

Its won't work with battery still connected to car. The drain an Omega puts on the battery will be more than those silly, toy panels can put back in.

If you disconnect battery from car, that's a lot of friggin every time, plus all the radio, window and sunroof resets, not to mention what it'll do to trims.
