I also had WIM remove and re-sit the tyres, I still had same problem. So a refurb is way to go I think for them.

Just taken mine in for refurb today, total bill will be £245 that's for 4 wheels normal silver late elite style

Same alloys as me, also have feeling YZ250 too? Does appear to affect later Elite alloys more  :-\
No issues with mine which I got from RobG a couple of years back.

One of the MV6 ones is leaky, but not checked if bead.

You can check by dunking it in a (decent sized) water butt

Drove back from Paris yesterday. No problems at all. A very comfortable journey and plenty of space to bring things back.  :y

Got the Sat-Nav working again and put a new CDC in so can now play CD's again. Did try and remove the donut bushes today so I could fit the poly's I have but the old bushes would not move so a job for another day now. :-\

Crawled under the TD to check the brake pipes before Thursday's MOT. Bugger, middle exhaust section has a small hole in it just before the join to the rear box. Shouldn't moan I suppose, 17 years old, and 130k. Two rear sections on order for tomorrow, and I am gritting my teeth at the fitted cost.:o Yes I could do it myself, but its one job I prefer to farm out. :y

100% with you on exhaust work. Pita without a ramp or pit. I only did the front section on mine as no one would give me a price. Only a price "as log as it all goes smoothly sir and no difficulties sir, but it's a 13 year old car sir" yadda yadda yadda. What they basically meant was "please write us a blank cheque sir".  ::)

Get a stainless fitted.. no need to worry about the future then as it'll outlast the car :y

You'll definitely grit your teeth at the price of 1 of those fitted :)

Anyhoo, today I will be taking our kids to a big aquarium in Cheshire, then hopefully will persuade them to go to the Aviation Viewing Park at Ringway airport so I can watch aircraft take off and land :y Probably won't happen but I live in hope.....

TD MOT passed, 3 minor advisories.
Brake fluid recommend change(?). I don't think so, its only done 4k since the last one a few months ago.
Play in N/S front track rod end. Hmmm, doubtful, replaced 4k ago.
Rear O/S tracking arm dust cover deteriorated, but not letting dirt in. Agreed.

First is probably a stock item on the current favourites list.
Second item could be the beginnings of idler play :-\
Third item is what it is...

Good result all in all :y

My local chap puts 'headlamp main beam out of alignment' or something. He fails it, says he adjusts the beam (for free) and then passes it. It keeps VOSA happy, apparently.  :-\

On the last MOT on the mig estate we had , the advisory was rear springs corroded ,surely this must apply to virtually every vehicle on the road seems a pointless piece of advice to me
