Was embarrassed into throwing some water over the big kitty by comments on the Serek thread.  Turns out kitty is black.

Black is one of worst colours for showing dirt.....next time get a silver one...much better at hiding the dirt  :y
While i,ve never been a big fan of the gay gold colour of mine, (you can,t see it whilst you,re inside it :D) i must say it hides the crap very well. ;D
Even if you can't see the outside (that's what I say about the pig ugly arse of the Jaaaagggg), being a 51 plate, you are still borderline having the brown dash...   ...and brown steering wheel, that's like holding a turd ;D
I,ve got the fake walnut which i don,t mind,(SWMBO loves it ;D). Luckily the steering wheel is standard colour, so no turd holding :D

I did nothing.

But took a ride down to the lakeside near the Rhine. 31°C outside and I like the cool breeze from the air condition...

Works fine since service last week :)

Changed the shocks and then I decided to order a new set of toyo tires T1-R since my current tires are already worn out.
Get the geometry done otherwise they won't last five minutes ;)

Thanks. My new tires are not yet installed. Will fit them this weekend.

I have just finished replacing one cam cover gasket on 2,4,6 side and both coil packs on my 3.2 MV6.

I debated with myself the need to do 1,3,5 bank, because there is no leak on that side, and I decided that it was better to leave sleeping dogs where they are lying than poke it with a stick.

I did however have a good clean out of the breather pipes.  (Is there a more stupid design I wonder)

Tomorrow I replace the centre console and fit a tow bar. (Someone is giving me a sailing dingy)

I would like to thank OOF for the how to's guide(s)

Treated it to 5.5 litres of GM 10/40 semi, GM oil filter, and 5 litres of GM coolant. Old coolant looks ok  so its going in the 190, which is much less fussy about these things. ;D  Also cleaned the breathers, which were pretty clean as it turns out, and changed the rad drain tap as it had a slight weep.

Has it been standing for a while?

The ProjectMV6 had been stood for 3 months before I taxed & insured it. The first time I drove it I almost needed my brown trousers but it seems to have improved with regular use  :-\

I "thought"   I noticed that on my Elite when I moved it to the lock up[it had been stood at the side of the road for biggest part of a year.]The brake pedal seemed to get a lot closer to the floor than I remembered-although the car stopped ok-so didn't know if it was a false memory or that I was used to the Volvo brake pedal.

Guess you use TC pads.  The first stop after a long period of being sat around is like driving with EBC Redstuff pads ;D

No, this is Mrs TB's daily, and I ain't driven it in ages.  But I'm fairly certain the pedal isn't supposed to hit the floor.

Sons Punto had an Mot advisory the other day on rust on each side of the front of the floor. Got under it today with a wire brush and a screwdriver to investigate.
It is now a Fred Flintstone car.  ;D
Need to fire up the MIG welder some time soon.  ::)
