Openreach. Anyone who knows me and knows what I do for work will know I am usually full of praise for OR (not any subcontractors they use), but not at the moment..... Last year brand new ducts and manholes where installed throughout this estate (It's an underground copper install so no telegraph poles), every other property on this close can order FTTP, both our neighbours have FTTP installed (Toby boxes at footpath edge, direct bury from footpath toby box to properties), our property is about 18ft from the neighbours Toby box (ie. there's a BT 54mm duct to there). They aren't prepared to send any engineer out to survey, presumably down to the L2C guidelines deciding the civils cost to run 18ft of duct with no bends isn't going to earn them enough cash (L2C)......  What's really annoying is I have already bought and installed BT Emtelle Duct from footpath to house at the correct depth, installed the CSP, run the internal EZ Fibre from CSP to comms rack....

sounds like youve all the info, i can privately provide the duct and pole map for your postcode if its any help to you.
also presume youve filled out the my neighbour can get it but i cant form.
tried emailing ceo?  if you are at the no other option point?

On the upside, I look at Openreach's FTTP options, and think they are about 20yrs out of date, even now being GPON.

The alt nets have it sewn up.

Openreach installed my FTTP on behalf of BT. Must say it all went well, and the speeds are as promised.

Trying to get the auxillary belt on. Finally got the alternator fitted, but could we get that poncy belt on, even with the tensioner at full chat. Finally got it on, but it does seem really tight. got it on by turning the engine with the crank pulley. Surely it should not be that difficult. My love of the Omega is fast waning !!!!

Just to be clear - I’m not suggesting for one moment that you’ve made the same mistake that I did,  but I experienced the same issue a while back.

I ended up putting a 2040 belt on instead of a 2020.

Turned out later that I’d missed the top bolt hole with the bolt. So the alternator was shifted slightly to the left (looking from the front) it gripped OK because of the grab on the bracket and the tight belt.

Been feeling a bit fluey the last couple of days, nose streaming and coughing enough to wretch.

Rang work yesterday and the lady I spoke to suggested getting tested "as there's a lot of it about".

Woke up this morning, temperature, brain fog and no sense of smell, so figured a test was probably justified... Positive. Obviously.

Evidence sent into to work, so quietly optimistic that is gets discounted although apparently that was stopped a couple of years ago after the great reset failed...
