Sorry if I'm being a bit thick, do I need antifreeze for a cambelt change?  :-[
I would recommend a waterpump every other cambelt, so its up to you if you want to change the waterpump. If you do, its around £25 + VAT for waterpump and around £8 + VAT for 'Red' antifreeze at TC prices...

Ok thanks. I do have a water pump to put on, sorry it's short notice as I didn't realise but would you (or anyone else) be able to get me some antifreeze if possible?
I'd be most grateful - thanks!  :y
If not I'll have to try and get some Friday lunch time, how much without a TC?

Have you been taking RonaldMcB's tablets  :o

I have my very own supply of a cocktail of space cadet brain inhibitor pills.

as is, I suppose hardly noteworthy, given the spinal thingy....

I think it was LB66 who remarked how much similarity i had to RMcB at times...   I think it may be the drugs that do it... :D

Right, for those who plan on having a beer or several, it appears the local hotel is now fully booked.  There may be a chance for a very limited number of people to stay at mine.  Let me know if this is required, and I'll see what we can do...

Actually from Llamedos originally....

:D

we have them all.....  and all the side projects, like science of the disk world 1-4 and so on....

it is however, contrary to popular belief,  entirely a co-incidence that like the master wordsmith,  we also have a daughter called Rhianna....    didn't realise till after ours was born and named.....

Cambelt party - Brackley CATERING ARRANGEMENTS
« Reply #220 on: 21 February 2007, 23:27:48 »

It appears that I've suddenly been promoted form keen donator and cremator of some dead animals and supplier of some beer , to general quartermaster for the catering division of Meega cambelts R US .  TB seems to think I've actually counted the number of people coming....

Since there appear to be quite a few of us descending on the neighbourhood and terrorising the locals, it might be a good idea if we co-ordinate at least some of the available grub and liquid.

I have thus far obtained a couple of dozen Cumberland sausages, a number of Rib eye Steaks (number decided when I actually cut the Steaks off the slab) , a Loin and a half  of Pork (likewise in slab form until I decide how to cook it)  and about 2 dozen lamb chops and a dozen or So Chicken Breast fillets.

and I have 2/3rds of a large bottle of Gas...

and a dozen or two  Beers of assorted descriptions form my Fridge stock.

I will also bring a large pack of Bacon for earlier requirements.

it would be useful if those wishing to contribute , could perhaps all agree what we're bringing....  so we don;t find ourselves with 6000 buns and no burgers or ketchup.

I don't want to pressure anyone into donating more than they're able, or comfortable with....   but please be aware that we probably all owe TB and co several slap up meals....     and shouldn't really expect them to feed us all as well as fix our meegas ;)  so just check out how many people are confirmed as coming to the 2 locations, and gathering later , and kind of bear it in mind...

So, thus far

MaxV6 : A Fair bit of Meat, and Some beer.
Kev Wood : Some bread like things , possibly in the shape of wraps/tortillas

Volunteers might like to consider the following, none should be considered as a show stopping essential

Actual burgers
Buns
Cheese
Wimpy green stuff like Salad?
Spuds for baking?
biscuits?
ketchups and sauces
more beer
Wine
a cake?

any other suggestions welcome.....

TB may decide to make this a separate thread ....   I couldn't decide one way or another..

I've got a cake sorted, what party would go well without cake?! I could also sort biscuits out.

Fully agree with the above. :)  I will be happy to provide some burgers, biscuits and salad stuff along with some soft drink (as I don't drink beer and will be driving home again).  It looks as though there will be 16 people around at various times of the day, so I suggest cater for 20.

If a definitave list is to be produced, put me down for the burgers etc.  If I don't hear to the contary, then I will bring what I have listed ;).  Hope this is OK.
