A43 is quickest* to almost Towcester, new link road around Towcester to near racecourse (only opened a month or 2 ago, so not on al maps), down the A5 to the Super Sausage.

A quick review of the 'new Towcester bypass. It's Sh1t. 40 Limit all the way, a roundabout every 100 yards, full of trucks going round said roundabouts at 5MPH. Since the old road is still mostly 40 MPH, and aproximatley 1.5707963267948966192313216916398 times shorter, and no lorries, just pile through the middle - it'll be quicker.

Errr, woke up this morning and it’s raining.  ;D  Today (Sunday) is meant to be the worst day though, so fingers crossed.

It is 40 and a shit load of roundabouts, but it avoids the 2 shitty roundabouts on the A43 (that used to be fine before this plague of putting traffic lights on roundabouts), and Towcester High St.

Trust me, A43 East to A5 South, the new link road is the better option usually, less likely to get snarled.

(The link road is to allow for Towcester's new housing, hence the roundabouts)

Tartan rug.
Thermos flask full of warm milky Yorkshire tea.
Two bags of assorted boiled sweets.
1975  AA Atlas of Great Britain.
Clean underwear in case of any little accidents.

As you are almost 130 years old your list would be even more lengthy. ;D :D
