Changed handbrake cable on my elite, and adjusted it all up nicely. :)

Discovered the source of my exhaust blow :'( where to two centre sections meet the back box, one pipe is totally corroded through, one not far behind. Two new centre sections for md then. If I can't clean the corrosion off the centre section from the backbox (it's irmscher), I'm gonna cut the pipe and bridge with flexi - bonus

Tyre wear will be a camber setting problem.

See relevant guides in FAQ etc, but basically, visit Wheels in motion or I believe fleet fit are near you. But you need full geometric set up for morticia. Don't be swayed by tracking. Waist if time.

Just got back from Fleet Fit, full geo on the DTi as it's running on Polly front bushes and B4's at the rear since the last geo.

Excellent service as usual and a great price  :y

Rear adjusters (which were still nice and free thanks to a good coating of oil and grease last time) needed tweaking to compensate for the rear sitting a little lower since ditching the air shocks, front camber winding back to -1d10 and toe reset to 0d05 on each side.

well i should 'av known better shouldnt I..... rear blind clicking like a bastward.   :'(
You're on your own for that "20 minute job" ;D
i rekon i'll be in the dealers 20mins buying a new one. Bugger that  ;)
Turns out they aren't that expensive IIRC?

Wonder why your (presumably motor) keeps failing?  That said, I can't vouch for that old one, it was 2nd hand when I got it, had it in the MV6 for about 3yrs before the annoyance with the faulty gearbox (rasping when closing) eventually got the better of me.  And I use it a lot. It really annoys people following ::)
I noticed yesterday, after coincidentally leaving it up all night, that it clicked after retracting. It went up fine, went down fine, just clicked about a second after it re seated.

A couple of uses with just a click, it then clicked constantly for about 2 seconds until mechanical sympathy maid me put it back up again, and the click stopped. It's stayed up since.

This one came from the Chav, and it was failed when I got it.
Turns out the new one quoted was not electric. Andyc confirmed, £300 odd for new with NO motor. My dealer quoted £250 odd for motor alone.   :o  :'(

Fitted new indicator stalk to TBE.  Suspect the old one was original.

ATF change on my brothers elite, which the gods didn't look favourably upon as it lashed down all day and still is. My pressure sprayer came in handy again. We just used instant gasket instead, and cleaned the filter out with petrol. I had the sumps gleaming.

The car is definitely quiter now, and apparently gear changes are faster and smoother.

Nothing to my elite though, it's poorly :'(
