Checked out the front fogs after replacing missing 30 amp fuse, needed new bulb, checked out rear high level brake light unit, still only 1 bank of 4 LEDs working!
Thought I had sorted the rear lamp cluster after fitting spare, needs contacts cleaned or earth looking at, slightly less bright than the other side. Also need to replace the stop and tail bulb for the fogs, the spares I had were the 180 degree bayonets, not the offsets!
Fitted new 'chip cutter' grille.
Still need to sort the twin horn set up, want to relocate to inside the grille and at the same time sort out the ring on the horn push so both buttons work.

Took the M3 and Amy's car for new tyres..

£950 for four tyres and an alignment on mine  :'(
£89 for two tyres for hers..  ;D

You didn't go ditchfinder with yours then ??? :D ;D

Or hers ;) But 165/60R14s are a lot cheaper than 225/40R19 & 255/35R19s!

Fitted cruise and variable wash wipe to the DTi :)

I failed miserably with the homemade biro adjuster....but my smallest (1.5mm) precision screwdriver was a perfect fit and I now have an excellent spray pattern 3/4 of the way up the screen when stationary.
You might wish to drop them back down to a third of the way up the screen when stationary, as when moving the airflow will push it further up the screen, potentially leaving it dry :-\
I'd say other way, as the airflow seems to lower the spray (on my bog std Omega ones)

I've got the Insignia ones on mine, currently set to approx 1/4 of the way up the screen. Could do with tweaking to be a smidgen higher as they don't quite reach the top ::)

Serviced the 3 work Vectras and did a couple of extra bits on one of them. The later '08 1.8 seems to have the potential to become troublesome, where as the older two, both '55 seem to be fairly bombproof :-\

The elevation of fan pattern washer jets don't seem to be as critical as it is for traditional jets. If the fan pattern can get the whole wiper blade wet when it is near the bottom of the screen then the wiper blade seems to do the rest :y

Had a look underneath the rear shelf to see if I could find any clues as to why the Bose speakers apparently arent working.
I found out why,but I wasnt expecting what I found. The reason they arent working is because they arent there.Theres just two holes where they used to sit. ;D ;D

Picked it up after having the rusted accident damage, around the petrol filler,  from the previous owner repaired, and the dings taken out of the doors.

Little knocks in Reading, haven't had the microscope out yet, so to speak, but it looks a bloody good job so far.

So with fixed pas, the rattle of the LPG filler on the cross member fixed, and I nice shiney car, it was a even more of a pleasure to drive. I love my car. Pita that it is. ;D

Not wanting to tempt fate, but that's almost all the jobs done now. :-\

And today, Mr Wood, replacing the tyres again due to having too much fun? ;D

I would appear to have taken 3mm of tread off them last week. ::)  :-[

Still, had fun. :D

I'm told they won't guarantee corrosion though, and that it will return in time as the rust will come through again.

I guess if the metal has been sanded back and exposed to the atmosphere then the galvanised body is compromised. Hence the rust will return....?
