Retrieved the bullet from carpark, as need to go to Derby tomorrow, and the bus won't make it out of Brakkers.  Not done more than 10-20 miles in the Bullet since doing waterpump, and not convinced that's resolved the coolant leak.  It'll be an "interesting" drive ;D

Ragged the tits off the bullet.

The waterleak is no longer catastrophic it seems, and no more steam billowing out of the bonnet.  Jury still out if that's the only water leak on it.

So tackled the glowplugs on the bus. 1st one, straight out. No 2, nah, no budging that, so squirt it in plusgas, along with 3 and 4. 3 and 4 come out no issue, return to 2. Felt it give, look at it, looks at strange angle, so "tighten" it back a shade. Now looks straight. So that little oppser is sheared.

Kicked the car, took TBE to Bicester, scoffed a Wimpy, ragged the bastid home.

Tempted to nip outside and kick the bus again. PoS  >:(
Verdict is in - 4l of coolant reqd to get to Derby this morning  :'(

Ah, I must have passed you as I went Northbound, thinking "I'm glad I'm not in that".  I was going up the M40 as the M1 was BF'd.

Must be silly season again.

Bit of an odd one really as it was between junctions so unlikely to be caused by the usual queuing morning traffic that tails back onto the carriageway.

On the upside.... when I finally managed to get off at 14 and re-join at 13 it was a very quiet Motorway until the usual increase in traffic at the High Wycombe section.

Still got to Bedfont Lakes on time! Just never had my breakfast and coffee!

I listened to the traffic news on radio 2 this morning, it sounded like the whole motorway network had ground to a halt.
What is it with all these vehicle fires?

There was two tonight as well, M42 and M40, M40 one appeared to be a coach fire, all the passengers were standing up on the embankment in 8 degrees and thick fog... poor buggers.

They always appear to start around the rear brake area. :-\
