Changed the plugs today as they were about 7 years old and i had a missfire so a good chance to investigate that, found centre plug on the drivers side and ignition lead covered in oil so a change of cam cover gaskets needed.
Also changed the AUX water pump below the coolant bottle as it had burnt out and almost cought fire, lucKy as it was only the pump and not the plug and loom. :y

Refurbed the headlights as they was beyond polishing with a bit of compound etc...

So tried flatting them back with some wet and dry then resprayed them with clear 2K lacquer...

They've come up a treat and look like new :)

The lacquer coat is a total waste of time and money as the heat from the lights will cause it to yellow and ultimately burn off...

The lenses aren't lacquered new, the fading etc is caused by UV degradation of the surface of the ppastic ;)

Did a twenty minute trip and found that another four manufacturers are now owned by BMW, as they were sold without the optional indicators. >:(

Changed abs ecu. Doesn't look too bad to start with, but soon looks impossible. Solid determination and patience win the day, and all lights are out. Now for MOT. :y

Got almost all the parts for this weekends HG job to do.... before we drag our tintent away to the lakes for the week :)

Need to get me some oil and a filter yet....

Had it re gassed. All good no leaks after re using o rings for the new condenser.

Took delivery of some super sports. :) ...after a bloody week!  >:(
