The salary sacrifice scheme makes sense for me at the moment, the tax savings make it a no-brainer. I'm really liking the adaptive ride on 18's it's so very smooth, along with adaptive cruise it makes the M25 so easy  ;D

Interesting that you can get the Full Fat performance one with 18's, as a budding old man I wholeheartedly approve of this  :y

They did this with the M60, M50 (less power) could only go as small as 19's

Our roads are so bad that smaller alloys and bigger side walls are a huge bonus.

With my car being £631 for a front wheel and £270 for a front tyre, and I destroy both with alarming regularity, another vote for sensible wheels here...

MrsVG has joined the dark side and leased an id3 - having tried a few EVs at our price point it was the one that made her happy. We were looking at the Fawds Explorer which is the same base but much more attractive but the maths didn't work.

I've spent the last six hours giving it a full detail and a dozen coats of wax... And it's promptly started pouring the sort of rain that sees Noah breaking out the Workmate.

Back of a fag packet maths makes it cheaper to lease and charge at home than just putting diesel in her Ovlov for the month...

Changed right side front brake back plate to wife's Octavia 2019. Totally corroded after 100 000km. Such VAG-quality.

My apologies. Spent weeks immersed in the murky world of EV leases and now Woman and I are basically communicating in code. "5... No. DS3? Frontera?"

there's been a bit of a clunk from the underside of my Smart For2 for a little while now ...
On its MOT the other week, he commented on the anti-roll bar bushed being a little worn (generally 'D' bushes) I changed them yesterday with bushes from MB .... the difference is night & day.  :y

I might have got a little too much heat into the brakes on the way back, but I'm sure they've cooled off by now ;D

Also wiped the 2 week old bird shit off the bonnet.

Amazed the old girl wasn't on bricks when you came back to her.

I used to have a client in croydon bang opposite the station, but I still drove. Truly one of the sh!ttiest places I ever had to spend time.

I was forced to spend a few days in Middlesbrough about a decade ago. The bad dreams still haunt me. ::)

If we are talking about seaside shitholes then Rhyl is hard to beat. >:D
