Did my second front suspension top mount.

Both done now.

1st was fubar, 2nd very tired.

So much smoother now.
VX prices are extortionate at about £100 a side, used febi from my local factor at £38 a side for mount and race :y  Very pleased with the results.

Has it stopped the knocking James?

Good question....doing the worst side hadnt...
but ive just done my test route, and nothing so far..

That said, when I did the 1st side, it was 24 hours before it knocked and rattled again, very strange.

fingers crossed :y  steering is certainly much smoother, with less roughness transmitted to the car.

Good stuff :y

old phone kit removed from 'Morticia', but lack of decent Torx 30 meant that glovebox is still in situ, so install of Parrot kit is stalled until we can get some new tools tomorrow and carry on with the job.

Whilst all that is being done, we'll also fit the nice new centre console parts we got from 'Twiglet' yesterday   :y

indeed, its seems a far bigger pain than it is to lock using the button from the back seat :(

still all sorted now :)

When mine completely failed, I never bothered locking it ::)

Most of my failures have been it would lock, but not quite unlock, which doesn't sound so bad, but it becomes a luxury when its fixed.

following on from yesterday, Parrot kit is now fully installed in the Omega and working fine, so I'm happy with that.  Not had time to change the interior bits yet, we're thinking of changing the stereo head unit to a silver one to match the MV6 interior bits we got off of Twiglet on Sunday  ;)

Cam belt done.
Bonnet release cable replaced (used a Carlton one - needed modding a bit!)
Bass box hooked up.

I found that my auxiliary air injection pipework has a non working one way valve, but after a dig in the archives I can see that it's nothing to worry about.

Mine has started doing this. It's rather annoying when you set the alarm off opening the door too. Although at night and depending where I leave it, it's not locked.

Spent the day working on the astra. Did an oil and filter change, general light and levels check, good valet, Undesealed sills and wheel arches. Went to fit some new indicator bulbs only to find you need to remove the bumper, then the headlight!!! so i thought stuff that. ;D

Front discs/pads, one cv boot gaiter & all wheels refurbed on the Passat. Gleaming with a machine polish, will probably look filthy again by the weekend!!!! :D
