Drove hers from the centre of Ipswich to my unit without braking as the front pads hit metal on her as she left work. So much for main dealers... Not even an advisory at service and MOT less than 4 months ago >:( >:( Guess what I'm doing tomorrow? ::) Fortunately it looks like (at a quick glance) the disc faces are ok and it's just started catching the (tiny) lip.

Even little fatty would be doing well to each legal pad to metal in 4 months, its amazing what they don't pick up.

My last MOT failed to spot a number plate light bulb blown  ::)

I fixed mine before the MOT last year, and by the time I'd got there it had packed up again. Hellfrauds bulbs. >:(

Its a theme with you, isn't it ;)

Preventative maintenence, Cripple ;)

The little Rover ran out of pads 2 months, 2k, after dealer major service (car came with 3yrs dealer servicing) - they tried to blame a sticky caliper until I insisted on seeing all the pads, and eventually, after they brought out the real ones that had come off, nigh on perfect wear. Needless to say, they even copped the cost of the pads (discs were OK).

I normally manage 5k from Omega pads, so about 5 months :).  (Note, that is to about half - 2/3rds worn, before it hits sensor)

Mine didn't make it to the metal, even though I left them over a month after the Lakes :o

As for hers... To be far, it only came out of a Service Plan and Warranty at the end of May so (other than fluid checks) I haven't done anything with it :-[

I think the discs are OK so it's just pads but Hellfrauds don't do them so it has to wait until tomorrow ::)

Drove it home from work, and shall drive it back to work for the last time tonight...

In the morning I shall have it Polish washed, remove all the stickers from it and clean all the kebab finger prints off the interior and pick up and fit my newly refurbished MV6 toffee wheels 8)

I might even top up the screenwash...

Changed the crank sensor.

Changed the coolant bottle for a nice new one.

Changed the oil and cleaned the breathers.

Topped up the levels and checked tyre pressures.

Took it for a blat and thoroughly enjoyed it!

Topped up the screen wash :y

Oh, took all the stickers off, handed the plate back to the Council and picked up and fitted my refurbished MV6 wheels 8)

Didn't get around to the kebab stains :-[ mostly because, once I'd put the wheels on, it was all I could manage to stare at them dribbling :D

Will post pics once I've worked out the whole photobucket thing ::)
