I have done a bit of legwork locally but not put any great effort in as yet. Will have to soon.LOcal pub/restaurant is good but the landlord uses the oil for biofuel for his own car.Like the idea of flyers, might give that a go. :y

Ive heard plenty of stories about Bookers. :-X

Drove the Omega to & from Solihull .. twice. 26mpg @ 75mph after fixing the multirams - better than 18mpg before!

Now just need to buy a clutch & gear position sensor for the M3  :'(

Clutch and sensor will hurt less than the alternative - which is, according to the forums, a new gearbox @ £6k+VAT!

Could you not replace it with a 'normal' box if the worst case actually happened  :-\

Yep - manual conversion with a good used Getrag box would probably be cheaper if it is the synchro ring gone; although there was no crunching so I suspect it's not that and it's actually the clutch and/or gear position sensor.. I hope.

OCD got the better of me. I had to change the bulbs that illuminated the centre and drivers vents on the Silver Bullet.

Booked the M3 in to have the gear position sensor changed (s/hand known good sensor + fitting is less than the part from BMW..) next week.

Remembered that I really need to change the stat in the Omega as it's not getting up to temperature when the outside temp is <10C and on the motorway.. then decided I'm too scared to touch it right now just in case I break my last available car! :-[

Was going to change the stat on my Omega today and then realised I have the wrong one. ::)
Ripped the dash to pieces on the breaker to retrieve the ariel lead, dismantled the front seats to remove all the leather and upholstery from them, removed a few other odds & ends from it
Changed the Battery on the Chavalier as it didnt want to start, suspect it may be driaing the battery but we shall see.

Dis Pack changed. The car was running really rough.

The dis pack looked like it had exploded :( :(

No leak in the scuttle above it. So just failed after 13 years, not too bad :) :)

Left home just after 4am and drove it to Peterborough and back to sort out the collection (by my lad) of my new van now it's equipped and a load of stock. Then drove home with 2 meetings on way and walked the dog... I was still home before midday ::)
