£26 a side from Monkfish... They don't come with bearings, so I have reused the best two that I had in stock... The ones that came with the Febi mounts are clearly made from the same cheese as the mounts...

If you take the top mount and try to compress one side bewteen your thumb and palm you can see it flex... 150k genuines only just have movement and the Pedders HD ones are solid. Has made it a smidgen less compliant on a rough road but if it stops them failing then apart then I can live with that :y

The airbag warning light has been on since I dropped my phone between the seat and console.

So I removed the fire extinguisher, jacked the seat up and jiggled all the connections I could reach. Reset the warning light and it's stayed off, so although the back of the phone is still scratched I'm calling it a success.

Its insured  let it burn.

The fire extinguisher isn't to save the car, but the stuff that may be in it. Then the insurance can sort the car, as I don't want one that's been on fire.
Nah, ones that have been extensively warmed up are all the rage now....

Fitted a new LPG tank gauge, hopefully that'll fix the dash gauge that always reads full.

"Fixed" the BT kit that had gone a bit wonky earlier in the week...   ...by pulling fuse, and putting it back in again. Guess the unit had become confuddled.

See, the MV6 only does 3k a year so it's not vital to get them done - but I'm disappointed if the Febi ones turn out to be substandard. If they do end up failing on age rather than mileage then I'll have no comeback  :-\

I'm noting this when it comes to do the Special...

Failure might have been pothole induced, but even so... Think I will struggle to get a refund as a) they have been fitted and b) they show no obvious damage. Frustrating though as the car has only been on the road about ten days even though the struts were fitted back in October iirc :-\

Changed the rear 12v accessory socket. (Thanks to RobG for supplying a replacement )  :y
Took a couple of pictures of how I did it this time in case anyone else needs to swap just the socket without getting heavy handed with it.  :y

80-140k...

Easiest way of removing the sleeve is to use a cold chisel, beat any given point on the collar to the mid point then repeat an inch either side... might still need a tug to liberate it, but the idea is simply to make it less of an interference fit :y

Changed 2.2's donuts at 183k, wish I never had, made the car far too stiff.

I used big ass screwdriver to start wiggling it out, then rammed a brake caliper spreader in there, used that to push the donut out.

That stiffness is subjective... At what mileage did you start driving it regularly?

Like a frog warmed in a pan of cold water, by the time it realises that the water is boiling, it's dead. Bush deterioration is gradual until something literally gives and allows sudden excessive play...

Had done 110k were originals, so 13years old.
Bush fell out when tweaked with podger bar, only changed them because I had a pair and was bored, otherwise wouldn't have bothered.
Didn't use a chisel, because couldn't find one long enough, need to buy some new ones, so I just jig-saw'ed a slot, and pry'ed it out with the bar, then pushed new ones in with a jack.
Haven't noticed any real difference at legal speeds, yet. Photos of old ones later. :y
